St. Killians has reached a major milestone in partnership with Irish manufacturing specialist Keltech — the production of our 15,000th Irish-made smokeless candelabra, designed and manufactured in Ireland for churches around the world.
Today, St. Killians candle stands are installed in over 32 countries, serving Cathedrals, Shrines and parish churches internationally, including some of the world’s most recognised places of worship.
A 15-year partnership built on innovation
The collaboration began over 15 years ago when St. Killians set out to create a safer, cleaner way for churches to offer real devotional candles — without smoke, soot or plastic waste. Working closely with Keltech, the system was developed, refined and engineered to meet the unique demands of historic and high-traffic church environments.
This long-term partnership combines St. Killians’ expertise in devotional candle systems with Irish engineering and manufacturing excellence, resulting in a durable, patented solution trusted by churches worldwide.
Designed for churches, built to last
The St. Killians candle system allows parishioners to light real candles using a specially developed smokeless glass system. Each stand is engineered to:
• protect church interiors from smoke and soot
• minimise maintenance for church staff
• eliminate the need for plastic or aluminium candle cups
• provide a safe, clean and dignified devotional experience
Every candelabra is manufactured in Ireland at Keltech’s Waterford facility, ensuring consistent quality and longevity for churches across the globe.
